5-step stroke prevention

FOCUS: TODAY – ME! (STEP 1/5)

"Get off" from your everyday life. Look around you. What's really important to you? Put yourself in focus. For all your loved ones and those who depend on you, your health comes first. Today is the time when you too take the following few preventative steps with ease and the knowledge that you are investing in your happier future!

YOUR STATUS (STEP 2/5)

Determine your condition by finding out for yourself do you suffer from heart disease? Is there any history of stroke or heart attack in your family? What are the LDL and HDL cholesterol levels accompanied by a lipid profile. Which stroke risk factors apply to you personally?

MORE MOVEMENT (STEP 3/5)

Don't set big goals, but try to move a little more each day than the previous one. 30 minutes of moderate movement a day neutralizes the harmful effects of a sedentary lifestyle. Try to incorporate movement-related activities into your daily routine - shop more often in smaller quantities, walking to the neighborhood grocer.

YOUR FOOD – YOUR HEALTH (STEP 4/5)

Eliminate or minimize the intake of processed foods. Increase intake of fruits and vegetables (preferably seasonal, fish (preferably fresh). Reduce salt intake. Prepare your food at home. Enjoy food without tension and stress. Share your food often with relatives and friends

TAKE YOUR LIFE INTO YOUR HANDS! (STEP 5/5)

Abandon bad habits. Start controlling your risk by controlling your weight, your lifestyle, your blood pressure. Stay motivated to change. Following your long journey on the path of a healthy lifestyle, regardless of the trials, you will invariably go in the right direction!
