On 24.09.2025 at 13:30 in the blue reading room of the Ruse Regional Library, the Association for Stroke and Aphasia, with the assistance of the Municipality of Ruse and the support of the Bulgarian Society of Neurology, is organizing a partnership meeting:
Stroke in Ruse
Stroke is a leading cause of mortality and disability in Bulgaria and Europe. Every year, thousands of Bulgarians and their families face the severe consequences of this disease. The Municipality of Ruse is no exception - the number of affected patients is increasing, and the care system is facing challenges that require joint action.
The modern perspective for building a sustainable policy in the fight against stroke is based on prevention, timely and quality medical care, as well as a holistic approach, including social, psychological and community solutions.
Ruse Municipality has always been an active partner of the Stroke and Aphasia Association, annually participating in the national and regional awareness and prevention campaigns. Together we believe that uniting institutions, medical specialists, social organizations, employers and civil structures is the key to better care and support for patients and their loved ones.
Within the framework of the meeting, we aim to focus on the following:
Getting to know the local stroke care system, creating partnerships, preparing a memorandum of cooperation to improve stroke care, promoting awareness and health literacy, developing social services after stroke in the community on the territory of the Ruse municipality
