We are raising funds for printing 50,000 copies of the "PATIENT AFTER STROKE HANDBOOK" for the current year 2025, which the Association for Stroke and Aphasia will provide to 135 neurological clinics across the country.

The cause
Association for Stroke and Aphasia (AIA) supports people who have suffered a stroke and their families. Its mission is to reduce the severity of strokes through prevention, better treatment, and long-term support.

In 2025, the Agency will print 50,000 copies of the "PATIENT AFTER STROKE HANDBOOK" for 135 neurological clinics in the country.

The handbook will help patients and their loved ones navigate after a stroke, providing key information on rehabilitation, aids and patients' rights.

Why is it important?

Every year there are 50,000 new stroke cases in Bulgaria. Many patients and their families are left without guidance and support. This guide will give them the information they need to go through recovery more easily.

Every year, 50,000 new stroke cases are registered in Bulgaria. This makes stroke a particularly significant social problem.

The
faster and more adequately organized the recovery of a stroke victim, the faster he will be able to overcome or avoid disability, return to his normal lifestyle, return to work or learn other skills with which to be useful to himself and society.

BGN 15,000 is needed to print 50,000 manuals for the current year 2025, which the Association for Stroke and Aphasia will provide to 135 neurological clinics across the country.
